How does the model work?
The PureProtect franchise is a full service modern model; we offer comprehensive ongoing training and support.
Franchise Owners purchase products from the franchisor and promote the products and service to the commercial and residential markets. Our role as the Franchisor is to develop service programs, products and marketing tools to help our franchise network to expand the market and grow sales. We also develop the brand awareness of PureProtect’s products and services. We focus on exceptional standards, customer service and through cooperation, commitment and communication with our Franchise Owners, the aim is for PureProtect to be the most trusted and recognised brand for commercial and residential hygiene solutions.
What do you get for the franchise fee?
Franchise Owners have full access to use PureProtect’s intellectual property, brand, products, services, expertise, manuals, advertising, marketing and promotional material, training and ongoing support. PureProtect continues to invest in new products and services to benefit Franchise Owners.
What does the $10k fee cover?
This fee covers legal costs, the initial 3-4 day training and introduction for up to two people, a sales pack, the operations manual and the Starter Kit. There is no ongoing training fee, however if a Franchise Owner engages an employee and they require assistance with training there may be a cost associated based on time required.
The Starter Kit includes; safety and application equipment, tool box, uniforms, business cards, brochures and a marketing package. Any additional equipment a Franchise Owner determines they require in the future is at their cost.
What marketing and advertising is planned by PureProtect?
PureProtect have appointed a Business Development Manager to assist in the Franchise Owner securing new clients. We operate an in-bound and out-bound call centre. The role of our telemarketers is to generate leads and set appointments for Franchise Owners and the sales team nationwide. This includes the development of a database for industry and location, working closely with the Franchise Owners and Area Franchise Owners to understand their requirements and assist with the success of their business plan. We also use radio, print and considerable resource into online marketing. A Franchise Owner is free to carry out additional advertising via telephone directories, local print, flyers, posters and mail drops.
What are the target markets?
Due to the nature of the PureProtect services it is reasonable to suggest 95% of domestic homes and commercial businesses are potential clients. We can comfortably say the same people are the customer base for our range of retail products. Our Franchise Owners are currently servicing the following industries; Marine, Hospitality, Food service, Construction, Office, Child-care, Aged-care, Education, Recreation, Real Estate and within the Wine industry.
Which of the programs are the Franchise Owners providing the most?
Within each Franchise Owners business this varies, mainly due to each Franchise Owner having different strengths, background and interests. A Franchise Owner may choose to focus on 1 or 2 of the treatment programs and therefore target specific industries.
The main treatments provided are the germ treatment primarily killing bacteria, and the mould treatment program, for mould removal, remediation and protection. Mould is a big issue for both the domestic and commercial market.
Are the treatments typically 'one offs' or ongoing?
With our commercial customers Franchise Owners are typically promoting each of the services as on-going programs; a typical agreement is 12-24 months which usually includes a number of weekly, monthly or quarterly treatments. Residential opportunities are similar, but there are more ‘one off’ customers where we are fixing a particular issue such as a mould problem. This may require a treatment every 12 months.
How much product do you use during an application?
A fogging machine would spray approx 2 litres per hour.
Is there an activity plan for success?
During the introduction and initial training period, we discuss and develop an activity plan for the start-up phase. Typically a Franchise Owner would provide a business plan to support their goals; PureProtect can help with a plan if required.
What is Zoono? And how is it different to chemicals?
PureProtect uses exclusively products with the Zoono technology built in. Zoono is a non toxic, non allergenic long lasting antimicrobial that is highly effective against an enormous range of germs including bacteria, viruses, and moulds, yeasts and fungi on many different surface types.
Zoono is odourless, colourless and water based and once applied to a surface will continue to provide antimicrobial protection. Zoono is totally safe around people, food and pets. Once dry it is invisible.
How long does it last?
Laboratory tests show Zoono to be highly effective against a range of pathogens for up to 28 days, however in reality and in the applications common to PureProtect Franchise Owners, the protective coating can only be worn off with abrasion, so the extent of protection is determined by the frequency of use of the surface.

What are the required skills and knowledge to run the franchise successfully?
There is no specific experience required. Franchise Owners receive comprehensive on-going training and support. Good customer service and time management is important, as is a willingness to learn and to follow proven marketing and sales strategies. You have available Franchise Owner workshops, newsletters and daily contact with support personal. A desire to achieve your business goals is important.
How does the relationship between PureProtect and Zoono work?
PureProtect is a division of the Zoono Group and is the exclusive hygiene and germ protection services company for the Zoono Group of Companies.
Who will train staff that I may employ in the future?
Franchise Owners have the responsibility of managing their businesses, training an employee is their responsibility. The Franchisor will ensure the employee is trained satisfactorily if additional training is required it will be at the Franchise Owners cost.
